Full time surgical pathologist with additional training in Gynecologic and/or Gastrointestinal pathology

This 462 bed center including the Simcoe-Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre (SMRCC) specializes in cancer care, surgical services, critical care, interventional cardiology, mental health, rehabilitation services and women’s and children’s programs. We are also a designated Gynecologic oncology centre.

As part of our pathology team you will provide diagnostic tissue pathology and cytopathology services to our network of 3 hospitals (Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Georgian Bay General Hospital and Collingwood General and Marine Hospital).The laboratory is fully accredited including IQMH and ISO 15189 Plus certification. Our caseload is challenging and diverse; enhanced by our involvement in the expanding services of the SMRCC including gynecologic, GI, GU and Breast. The current workload includes approximately 29,000 surgical pathology and 7,000 cytology cases per year.

If you are a licensed pathologist in Ontario and have an FRCPC or equivalent qualification in general pathology or anatomic pathology and additional training in Gynecologic and / or Gastrointestinal this would be an ideal opportunity for you.
