In light of the unprecedented changes altering how we communicate in today’s world, the OAP are holding their annual meeting virtually. Our virtual meeting technology will allow attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers to connect in a secure space to present, showcase, learn, network and discuss business online. As we leverage off innovative ways to social distance, the convenience of online technology connects people from anywhere in the world, on any device. While easing the burden for travel, time and financial constraints, virtual events have the capacity to attract a larger number of attendees compared to a traditional meeting.
Last year’s traditional OAP Meeting had 75 registered delegates attend onsite. Already, we have 70 members who have registered for our virtual meeting and we anticipate many more.
The sessions will be recorded live and available for self-paced viewing up in the OAP website educational archives in perpetuity.
At the end of each educational session in the program timeline, there will be a 2, 4, 6 or 8-minute advertisement opportunity (depending on level of commitment) for sponsors to showcase themselves. This could be a screen share and presentation, a video showcasing your product or service, a Q&A interactive opportunity or an eblast to the participants.
Your logo, company profile and overview of your products will be showcased on the website, communications to members, Twitter and at the start and the end of the daily sessions. Cost to participate as a sponsor starts at only $1,000 CAD plus HST.

Alternatively, you may wish to participate in a co-development opportunity for $5,000 plus HST. The OAP has currently approved a series of co-developed educational sessions (for MOC Section 1 credits) with Sectra, EMD Serono and Pfizer.
Co-developed Accredited Symposia are an essential part of the official program of the OAP extending delegates’ educational experience. You are invited to participate in the programming by partnering with the OAP to create an exceptional Accredited educational opportunity. With fewer meetings to attend our members need access to educational credits for their maintenance of certification therefore this is a sure way to ensure an audience. They need what you can offer!
Top 6 reasons to host an Accredited Symposia:
- Educate a national pathology audience.
- Transfer knowledge from research to practice.
- Bring key thought leaders to the forefront.
- Reach key decision makers.
- Provide an opportunity for interaction and feedback among peers; and
- Opportunity for exposure to the pathology community as a provider of CPD opportunities.
These virtual webinars are co-developed with the OAP and are planned to achieve scientific integrity, objectivity and balance. The physician organization (OAP) has ultimate authority over all decisions and is accountable to ensure that the administrative, educational and ethical accreditation standards for group learning activities are met. Co-development is defined by the Royal College as the process by which two or more organizations — at least one of which must be a physician organization — prospectively collaborate to develop and implement an accredited educational activity, learning resource or tool.
