This ensures that treatment plans and patient care are based on accurate and timely pathology and laboratory findings.

The Ontario Regional Blood Coordinating Network (ORBCoN) is a nonprofit program funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC). Our mission is “Inspiring and facilitating best transfusion practices in Ontario”. We value patient safety, accountability, collaboration, stakeholders and knowledge transfer. We develop and disseminate utilization, inventory, audit, quality and reference tools to our Ontario hospitals’ transfusion service free of charge. We work collaboratively with our hospital and Canadian Blood Services partners and stakeholders.
