Allison Collins, MD FRCPC

Dr. Collins obtained her MD at Queen’s University and completed her Internal Medicine internship and General Pathology residency there. After five years as an Associate Laboratory Physician at North York General Hospital, she worked at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre for 23 years, where she was the Medical Lead in the Clinical Laboratories, and Chair of the Transfusion Committee. She is also the Laboratory Medical Director at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg.

In November 2013 she joined the Ontario Regional Blood Coordinating Network (ORBCoN) as the Physician Clinical Projects Coordinator. She Chairs the Ontario Contingency Planning Committee for blood shortages, serves on other provincial committees related to transfusion medicine, and is a peer assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.


James J Limacher, MD MSc MBA FRCPC

Dr James Limacher graduated in medicine from the University of Calgary and completed residencies in anatomic pathology at McGill University and Laval University and in clinical pathology at Queen’s University and the University of Vermont. After a decade as a hospital pathologist and laboratory director in Cornwall and northeastern New York State, Dr Limacher completed a fellowship in dermatopathology followed by a residency in dermatology at the University of Oklahoma. He practised as a dermatologist and dermatopathologist in Buffalo, NY before moving to Toronto where he now practices as a dermatopathologist. Dr Limacher holds a faculty appointment at the University of Toronto and teaches in its dermatology residency program.


Dr. Simon Raphael

Dr. Raphael completed his medical education at the University of Western Ontario and completed his residency at UWO as well. He did specialty training in Endocrine Pathology at the UofT.

He also holds an M Ed fromt the UofT.

His past positions included Deputy Chief of Pathology at Sunnybrook HSC in Toronto, Residency Program Director of Anatomical Pathology at UofT and Examiner for the RCPSC.

He is currently the Chief of Pathology at North York General Hospital in Toronto and Associate Professor at UofT. He is LHIN regional lead for the QMP program and co-heads the Hospital Quality Committee at NYGH. He is Vice Chair of the MAC at the same institution. He is also an Assessor for the CPSO in Pathology.
