Academic Hematopathologist

Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA) and the University of Ottawa (UO), Ottawa ON

We are seeking an academic hematopathologist to join our team providing transfusion medicine (TM) and hematopathology (HP) services including coagulation testing, bone marrow examinations, flow cytometry, hemoglobinopathies and routine/special lab hematology. A major client of EORLA, the Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is a quaternary academic health sciences centre with one of the largest leukemia programs in Canada treating 60-80 new patients with acute leukemia and performing over 200 bone marrow transplants per year. The program is helping Ontario build capacity for CAR T-cell therapy for ALL and lymphoma patients. TOH’s benign hematology program produces world-leading research in thrombosis. GP or AP Locum Temporary

Sault Area Hospital (SAH) in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario is seeking Pathology locum coverage beginning February 22 to April 30th. Length and frequency of locum can vary based on individual availability. The SAH Laboratory Medicine Program services include medical biochemistry, haematology, transfusion services, medical microbiology, cytology, surgical pathology, and forensic pathology. We are looking for a temporary locum that can offer on-site service in surgical specimen grossing, surgical and non-gynecological cytopathology reporting, frozen section coverage, peripheral blood film review, and/or medicolegal autopsy holding active approval on the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service Register of pathologists for such examinations. The locum service mix is candidate dependent and negotiable. Director, Ontario Molecular Pathology Research Network

The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) is seeking a Director for the Ontario Molecular Pathology Research Network (OMPRN). The Mission of OMPRN is to enhance molecular pathology research capacity across Ontario by fostering collaboration between pathologists, increasing the participation of pathologists in high-quality translational cancer research and providing opportunities for residents, fellows and early career pathologists to obtain training and mentorship in cancer research.

The Leader will be assisted by a full-time Project Manager.
