Pathologist Locum

Applications are invited for a 12 month locum position for an Anatomical Pathologist commencing July 1, 2020 within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care. Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent and be eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and must have postgraduate training/qualifications in Anatomical or General Pathology. The ideal candidate would have experience in general surgical pathology, but our pathology service is subspecialized and gastrointestinal pathology would comprise a significant component of the workload. Mackenzie Health is currently seeking a progressive Chief of Pathology/Medical Director of Laboratory Medicine to provide leadership to Canada’s first hospital to deliver primary diagnosis using digital pathology tools. The successful candidate will lead the Department of Pathology overseeing all aspects of laboratory medicine providing service in surgical pathology and cytology. Furthermore, the Chief/Medical Director will lead the successful and timely transition to digital pathology tools, including digital morphology and frozen sections. General or Anatomical Pathologist Interested in Leadership

Quinte Health Care, Belleville ON

Quinte Health Care (QHC) is recruiting one full time position in Pathology for its Department of Laboratory Medicine located in its new state of the art laboratory at QHC-Belleville General Hospital, beginning on or after May 1, 2020. A Fellowship in General Pathology or Anatomical Pathology from the RCPSC, registration with the CPSO and CMPA coverage will be required. Additional subspecialty training in hematopathology is welcome. The successful candidate should have leadership expertise/interest as there will be an opportunity to apply for the role of Chief/Medical Director of Laboratory Medicine in the near future.
