PATHOLOGIST

We are seeking a 1.0 FTE Pathologist to join our group. As a staff pathologist, you will participate in all aspects of diagnostic pathology. You are also expected to participate in multidisciplinary cancer conferences and pathology quality assurance programs and take a supervisory responsibility for at least one of our laboratory disciplines.

Southlake Regional Health Centre is a community hospital with thriving Cancer Centre and Cardiothoracic Surgery programs. All pathologists’ offices are equipped with a workstation featuring voice recognition. Our in-house immunohistochemistry service and flow cytometry lab provide high-quality support for our Regional Cancer Program. The successful candidates are required to hold the RCPSC certificate or its equivalence in either General or Anatomic Pathology, and possess or be able to obtain a license to practice medicine in Ontario. An interest in breast & gynecologic pathology will be considered an asset, but other subspecialty interests would also be considered of value.
