Academic Anatomical Pathologist

Applications are invited for an Anatomical Pathologist position in the Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP), with an academic appointment at an appropriate rank in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University.  The ideal candidate will have subspecialty expertise through a recognized fellowship, or at least five years practice experience, in gynecologic oncologic pathology, including related molecular/biomarker testing and reporting.  Additional experience in breast pathology will be an asset. Other areas of interest will also be considered.  Strong surgical pathology and frozen section skills are required.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent in Anatomical or General Pathology, and hold or be eligible to obtain medical licensure in the Province of Ontario. 

The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment and is expected to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. A commitment to academic scholarship in the areas of education, quality improvement, knowledge translation, innovation, and/or clinical/translational research is required.
